Deze reeks werd gemaakt naar aanleiding van de fotowedstrijd “HERDENKING & HERINNERING”.
De bronzen Kariboe staat symbool voor de gesneuvelden van het Newfoundland regiment uit Canada, dat een bijzonder zware tol heeft betaald tijdens WOI.
Er bestaan 6 kariboe-monumenten die zich bevinden in Kortrijk (België), Beaumont-Hamel, Gueudecourt, Masnières en Monchy-le-Preux (allen in Noord- Frankrijk) en één in Canada, St.John’s.
This series has been made in response to the photocontest “HERDENKING & HERINNERING”.
The bronze Karibou is the symbol for the fallen soldiers of the Newfoundland regiment from Canada, who paid a particular heavy toll during WOI.
There are in total 6 Karibou monuments, which can be found at Kortrijk (België), Beaumont-Hamel, Gueudecourt, Masnières en Monchy-le-Preux (all in North of France) and one in Canada, St.John’s.
